Apocalyptin Author Anna Parkman – Mrs. Florida In This Year’s Mrs. USA Pageant

Anna Parkman proudly represented Florida in this year’s Mrs. USA Pageant. The pageant took place in San Francisco, California, and lasted until June 4th.

The Mrs. USA pageant is the largest and most prestigious pageant in the world for married women between the ages of 25 and 45 in the United States. Contestants must go through various stages of interviews and questionnaires in order to be chosen to represent their state in the pageant.

Anna Parkman came to the pageant with an impressive background. In addition to her role as a married mother of three, Parkman is a certified psychologist, NLP masters practitioner, transformational life coach, health coach, and the author of Apocolyptin.

Apocolyptin is a metaphorical fairy tale that describes common experiences of trauma and equips readers with methods for overcoming these traumas. Through the book, she helps others utilize psychological tactics and skills to heal and grow.

Parkman’s book was designed for readers to feel heard in their own personal struggles. “The book clearly describes the feelings and physical sensations of those who experience negative experiences. Resentment, hatred for offenders, the desire for revenge, a complete drop in one’s own self-esteem, anger at the whole world, etc. All possible negative reactions formed as a defense are listed,” Parkman explains.

Her experience writing Apocolyptin motivated her even more to win the title of Mrs. USA, as the title holder becomes a speaker for the Women in Need Foundation. This foundation helps women in need around the world and specializes in recovery from abusive relationships, something that Parkman has experience with as a practicing psychologist.

When remarking on the opportunity to represent Mrs. Florida, Parkman said, “I am so happy to represent my home state of Florida. I am going to enjoy the pageant and I look forward to speaking with all of the other beautiful ladies competing.”

Despite never meeting before the event, the group had regular Zoom calls leading up to the pageant, which Anna said was a positive experience that instilled good energy into all the contestants.

This was Parkman’s first pageant, and she was most definitely aiming to win. Winning the Mrs. USA pageant is a ticket to the world-renowned Mrs. Globe pageant as the representative of Mrs. USA.

The Mrs. Globe pageant has contestants from 70 countries all over the world, and provides recognition on a large scale. Although competing in this pageant would be an amazing opportunity, Parkman felt so grateful to have represented Florida in the Mrs. USA pageant.
